Hyperloop More

Hyperloop - A subway network working on magnetic rails in depressurised steel tunnels

The magnetic rails allows the pods to levitate without mechanical friction. The depressurised steel tunnels reduces the air resistance to a minimum. These two properties enables extremely energy-efficient operations.

History - Hyperloop evolved from the vacuum train and the maglev train

Robert Goddard

Father of American Rocketry

presented his ideas of a vacuum train

in the Scientific American Editorial in 1909

Eric Laithwaite

Father of the Maglev

developed the Maglev train

in the 1960s

Elon Musk

South African - American entrepreneur

presented the Hyperloop in the White Paper 2013. An open source project that was based upon the vacuum train and maglev ideas.
